I have known Rick for several years. Given his background as a senior logistics and supply chain executive for some very large companies, Rick is able to draw upon this vast experience and expertise as he guides CSCMP towards the future. He has also done an exceptional job of continuing the transformation of CSCMP, keeping it at the forefront by providing outstanding value and education for its members.
CSCMP is arguably the preeminent association dedicated to the education and training of supply chain professionals throughout the world. Started in the early 1960's, the organization has done an outstanding job of responding to the needs of its members, who operate in a constantly changing environment.
CSCMP produces the annual State of Logistics Report, and of course, is famous for its annual conference which it hosts in the Fall; this year's Conference will be held in Chicago on September 20 -23. If you haven't already made plans to attend, we strongly recommend that you do whatever you can to adjust your schedules. Personally, I cannot tell you the number of times people have told me that one idea they picked up from the Conference provided a return on investment of 100 to 1. And in these trying economic times, 100 to 1 returns can always come in handy.
