Well, the last ten days certainly have been interesting. There are lots of nervous folks wondering what is going to happen next.
Aside from the implications on a national basis, some of our customers have asked about how the economic crisis will impact the transportation industry. So we want to take a moment to give our listeners some insights from Ed Wolfe, one of the leading financial analysts covering the transportation sector.
Ed is the Managing Director of Wolfe Research. Prior to starting Wolfe Research, Ed was with Bear Stearns. Over the years, Ed and I have spent quite a bit of time talking about the transportation sector and I found many of his predictions and analyses to be "spot on."
In the interview, Ed reveals some good news: the fundamentals for most of the major transportation companies are positive. Obviously, many of these companies, along with their counterparts in other industry sectors are going through some lean times, but overall, you will find Ed's insights to be interesting and valuable.
